... that Kevin Spacey went to high school with actors Val Kilmer and Mare Winningham in Chatsworth, California. Kevin Spacey was considered so talented even then that the drama teacher at the high school "recruited" him from another San Fernando High School so he could be part of their award winning drama department that was in contention for a countrywide merit award. After high school, Kilmer was the one who encouraged Kevin to audition for a coveted spot (which he won) at the famed Julliard School. So far in his career Kevin has yet to appear in a movie with either of these talented actors.

... that Kevin Spacey is an astonishingly talented mimic and can do letter perfect impressions of many famous actors and personalities. ... that Kevin Spacey's first big break came in the mid-eighties when he was offered to be the understudy in the off-Broadway production of David Rabe's now famous diatribe against Hollywood - Hurlyburly. Over the course of the run he would get to appear on stage in all three of the play's showy roles. Thirteen years later he would have a starring role in the motion picture adaptation of the very black comedy.

... that Kevin Spacey took a turn at directing in the 1996 movie Albino Alligator. Although he didn't appear in the movie himself, he received plenty of positive reviews for his edgy and innovative directing style in this nourish hostage thriller starring Matt Dillon, Faye Dunaway and Gary Sinise.

... that Kevin Spacey was very close to actor Jack Lemmon and considered him a mentor of sorts. They met briefly when Kevin Spacey, an autograph seeking teenager at an acting seminar asked Jack to sign a picture for him. Many years later they would work together for the first time in the much-praised Broadway production of A Long Day's Journey Into Night. Over the years they would appear together in Glengarry Glen Ross (pictured here), Dad and the TV Movie of the Week, The Murder of Mary Phagan.
