... that Denzel Washington made his big screen debut in the 1981 comedy Carbon Copy and then proceeded to build a career dominated almost exclusively with dramatic roles. So far in his 25+ year career, he has only been one other traditional comedy Heart Condition and one romantic comedy The Preacher's Wife.

... that Denzel Washington achieved stardom while playing the intense Dr. Phillip Chandler on TV's hospital drama St. Elsewhere throughout most of the eighties.
