... that Brad Pitt has officially been banned from China for life for his role in the pro-Tibetan film Seven Years in Tibet. The movie is based on the memoirs of Heinrich Harrer (the character Brad Pitt played in the movie) a German adventurer who traveled in the East the 1940's and through a series of events ended up befriending the young Dalai Lama in Tibet - the book version of Seven Years in Tibet is also available.

... that Brad Pitt was nominated for an Academy Award and received a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of a rich, young and crazy anarchist in 12 Monkeys.

... that Brad Pitt married actress Jennifer Aniston in July 2000 and divorced in 2005. Brad and Jen appeared on Friends together in a Season Eight episode called "The One With the Rumor".


... that Brad Pitt is the first person to be named People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive twice. He received that "honor" in both 1995 and 2000.

... that People Magazine paid $14 million for the rights to publish the first pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins, Knox and Vivienne, who were born on July 12, 2008. The proud parents will be giving all of the money to charity.

... that before Brad Pitt hit it big on the silver screen he had a lot of guest roles on the small screen. He was on a few episodes of Dallas (shown here).
