ET and Star Wars

As a homage to Star Wars director George Lucas, Steven Spielberg included a couple references to his friend's sci-fi classic Star Wars.

In a scene at the beginning of the movie, Elliot shows ET a Boba Fet action figure.


And as the children and ET leave for the woods dressed in their Halloween costumes they run into a kid dressed as Yoda.
