A Tribute to Steven Spielberg

Simply put, Steven Spielberg is the director whose movies have made the most money in Hollywood history, but we like to think of him as the director whose movies have given us the most entertainment. Jaws, E.T., Raiders, Jurassic Park, these movies have all been commercial blockbusters and enormously entertaining films. Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan are socially relevant and critically acclaimed films. Relive all these great movie moments and more in Destination Hollywood's Tribute to Steven Spielberg.

New on DVD

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull , the latest Steven Spielberg movie is now available on DVD.

What's New

We realize we do tend to go on a bit about the wisdom of all these Hollywood remakes. But we're happy to report this quote from Steven Spielberg when he was asked if there would an E.T. 2. "I'm never going to make E.T. II - E.T. is a closed story. It had a beginning, middle and a definite ending, and we had nowhere to take it except to go home with him. Nor did I want to bring him back to Earth for a second time."

Empire, the British film magazine, asked Steven Spielberg to be the guest edition for its 20th anniversary edition. It looks like he is as good a magazine editor as he is a director!

Coming Soon

You made have heard about this Tintin character that will be the star of the new animated movie that is Steven Spielberg's next project and wondered who is Tintin? Apparently Tintin has been one of the most beloved comic characters in Europe for seventy years. Tintin is a Belgian reporter who has had many adventures. A movie trilogy of the stories is planned based on The Adventures of Tintin. Now that all the dust has settled in the financial wrangling to get this project going, Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are going forward but the proposed trilogy has been downsized to two movies.

Steven Spielberg has many other projects in development. We think the Lincoln bio-pic starring Liam Neeson and a rumor of Sally Field as Mrs. Lincoln sounds very interesting.
