Michael Douglas has many movies on his slate as a producer but the good news for fans is that he will be back on the screen as an actor. Unfortunately romantic comedies with Matthew McConaughey continue to be made and this one is called The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Michael Douglas will play the role of Uncle Wayne. It's a Christmas Carol take off. This movie was scheduled to be made years ago with Ben Affleck in the role of the man haunted by his former girlfriends at his brother's wedding. Release date is set for February 2009.
We'll also see Michael Douglas playing a corrupt district attorney in a remake of the 1956 film noir Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
Although it's just a rumor, there is talk of Michael Douglas reprising his Gordon Gekko character in a script in development called Money Never Sleeps. Oh but greed isn't good anymore. Maybe Mr. Gecko will be getting a bailout.
And the biggest news for last: Sequel to Jewel in the Nile replacing Kathleen Turner with Catherine Zeta Jones and set in India.
