Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke that Darth Vader is more machine than man. But Darth Vader's great love Padme thought that there was still good in him and his long-lost son would come to believe the same thing. We didn't know it in 1977 but the story of the Star Wars saga is ultimately the tale of the truly evil Darth Vader's redemption and return to the good side of The Force.
