Hollywood has made this story twice. The first time was in 1940. The second time was in 1956. The first time the stars were Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and James Stewart. The second time the stars were Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. The first time the spotlight was on the screenplay's intelligent dialog and the comedic acting prowess of it's all-star cast. The second time the spotlight was on the personal chemistry of the movie's three stars and a song-filled musical score. The first time they called it The Philadelphia Story. The second time they called it High Society. Both times Hollywood created top-drawer romantic comedies that still entertain generations later. We have them both here in Destination Hollywood's Tribute to The Philadelphia Story.
