Synopsis

Daniel Day Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Winona Ryder are involved in a bittersweet love triangle in late 19th Century New York city upper class society in Martin Scorsese's The The Age of Innocence. When society's conventions keep Lewis from being with true love Pfeiffer, he marries Ryder by default. But that doesn't end the romance or the heartbreak in this excellent adaptation of Edith Wharton's novel of the same name.
