This is the section for all our "FUN" Tom Cruise information - please enjoy!

Did You Know?

… that Tom Cruise's first major screen role was a supporting part in Taps. He starred alongside Sean Penn and Timothy Hutton.

… that despite having made five prior movies (Taps, Endless Love, Losin' It, All the Right Moves and The Outsiders) Tom Cruise's career didn't take off until his first big hit as the college-bound, karaoke-singing, would-be pimp in Risky Business.

… that Tom Cruise created a bit of controversy when he won the role of cult hero Lestat in the motion picture adaptation of Interview With The Vampire. The novel's author Anne Rice even took out a full page ad protesting the casting. But when the movie premiered, most people, including the apologetic writer found that Tom could seemingly play any part with ease.

… that taken together, Tom Cruise's movies (shown here in Mission Impossible) have made over $2 billion dollars worldwide.

… that Tom Cruise is not the only actor in the family. His cousin William Mapother is also in the business, most recently appearing as Ethan Rom in the First Season of Lost.

... that being dropped by Paramount Pictures didn't seem to faze Tom Cruise. He went out and bought his own movie studio - United Artists Entertainment.

… that no matter how many times you have seen the video of Tom Cruise on Oprah it's worth another look. Rewatching it we noticed that the jumping on the couch is not even the best part. We love the attacking Oprah in her pink dress and chasing Katie Holmes around backstage just as well. He's in the BUILDING!!! ... check it out below:

… Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes first showed off Baby Suri in the pages of Vanity Fair magazine.

… that in 1990 Tom Cruise was named People Magazine's Sexist Man Alive.
