A Tribute to Stanley Kubrick


Although Stanley Kubrick directed only sixteen films throughout his long career, his place in fillmmaking history is undisputed. From HAL to aversion therapy to REDRUM to Born to Kill, his visions have made their mark on our memories and kept our eyes wide open. We salute him in our Tribute to Stanley Kubrick.


What's New


Stanley Kubrick died in 1999 but he left behind a treatment for a movie called Lunatic at Large based on a story by Jim Thompson. Its a mystery involving which character is really the escapee from a mental institute. According to the New York Times the script had been misplaced when Stanley Kubrik moved from Hollywood to London and it was only rediscovered after his death by his son-in-law. It is currently in development.
