A Tribute to Paul Newman

The Paul Newman Story. Once upon a time a very handsome blue-eyed man, who also just happened to be an extraordinary actor, came to Hollywood and starred in some movies that were the biggest hits of their day - movies like Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting. Oh yeah, you might say, he's the guy who sold the popcorn and the salad dressing and gave all the profits away to charity. Yes, he did. And he also gave us six decades of wonderful performances in a very prestigious acting career. Please enjoy Destination Hollywood's Tribute to Paul Newman.
What's New

Paul Newman and his family lived far from Hollywood in Westport, Connecticut. Since his death the town has been struggling with a way to honor him. Now the town and the family has agreed to turn a 34 acre parcel of land into a nature preserve to be named after Paul Newman. Joanne Woodward said: "The Poses land is a truly beautiful piece of land that Paul, our children, and I have had the privilege of enjoying for many, many years. Preserving the Poses property in its natural state is something I very much believe Paul would have loved to see happen. Paul always expressed regret that he was not able to accomplish this himself." Sounds like a very good tribute to their most famous citizen.
Stars will gather again to honor Paul Newman and raise funds for camps for children. Quite a lineup of talent.
Please join us June 8th at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center for A Celebration of Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Camps. This very special evening will be hosted by Joanne Woodward, Julia Roberts, Robert Redford and feature performances by Joshua Bell, Harry Connick, Jr., Art Garfunkel, Yo-Yo Ma, Jerry Seinfeld, Take 6, James Taylor and the Hole in the Wall Campers.
