Meg Ryan was our girl. So cute and feisty, so defined by those iconic romantic comedy roles that maybe we overlooked her more dramatic turns. Now she's back after taking some time away and ready to try to answer the question - how do you transition from America's sweetheart? By taking chances and making bold choices. We're going to celebrate all the past roles we love and welcome her back and cheer her on for what comes next in Destination Hollywood's Tribute to Meg Ryan.

What's New
It seems Meg Ryan may have a lot to answer for. Dr. Bjarne Holmes a researcher at a university in Edinburgh, Scotland has published a study claiming that Hollywood's romantic comedies have "promoted unrealistic expectation" when it comes to relationships. They studied 40 movies including You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle (they're looking at you, Meg) and concluded that "Films do capture the excitement of new relationships but they also wrongly suggest that trust and committed love exist from the moment people meet, whereas these are qualities that normally take years to develop." They also found that fans of romantic comedies had a stronger belief in predestined love.
We say ... what's wrong with that? And we are going to give you our readers a wonderful opportunity. You can become a part of this important(?) research!!! These researchers have launched an online study on media and relationships and you can participate by clicking here.
