Cary Grant Movie Favorites

Madcap thirties comedy Topper starred Cary Grant as part of a ghost couple who must commit a good deed. Everyone drinks Pink Ladies and everyone has fun.

If one screwball thirties comedy isn't enough here's another Bringing Up Baby. This time Cary Grant is teamed with Katharine Hepburn and they are transporting a leopard named Baby.

On to the forties. His Girl Friday was an adaptation of the Broadway play about fast talking newspaper writers called The Front Page. Why its probably the fastest talking movie ever.

Since The Philadelphia Story has three great stars (Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn and Jimmy Stewart) it may seem like were always recommending it. And its true we are.

Cary Grant is a government agent who asks Ingrid Bergman to spy on her fathers Nazi friends in Notorious. Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock were becoming quite a team.

Here come the fifties. Cary Grant played a retired cat burgler in To Catch a Thief. Beautiful French Riveria, beautiful jewels and clothes, beautiful Grace Kelly.

Of course its romantic. Its called An Affair to Remember after all. Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr meet on a cruise but they are both engaged to other people.

Cary Grant is the man everyone is after in North by Northwest. So many iconic scenes, the crop duster in the field, the giant Mt. Rushmore faces. This is a great suspense film.

Which brings us to the sixties and a movie that is just as funny as it is suspenseful. Cary Grant had a lot of classy leading ladies but we think pairing him with Audrey Hepburn in Charade was perfection.
