Synopsis

Disillusioned single mom Maureen O'Hara hires a kindly Santa look-alike to ride on the final float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in this 1947 classic. Complications ensue when Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) asserts that he is the "real" Jolly Old St. Nick. Will he get thrown in the nuthouse? Will O'Hara let down her defenses enough to find happiness with Santa's lawyer (John Payne?) Will Kris teach O'Hara's daughter (a very young Natalie Wood) how to have fun? Do you even have to ask? Well worthy of it's exalted status as THE ultimate Christmas movie.
