Mario Puzo - the author of The Godfather


Mario Puzo (1920 – 1999) was the creator of The Godfather saga. He wrote the best-selling novel upon which the movie series was based and collaborated on all three scripts (for which he won two Academy Awards.) He went on to write many popular novels and was featured on the cover of Time Magazine in 1978. The article Paperback Godfather takes a interesting look at his early career.
