Opened in 1926 as a live theatre, El Capitan was recently refurbished by Disney and now plays Disney movies
with related exhibits adjacent to the theatre.
Opened by Sid Grauman in 1927 and bought by Ted Mann in 1973, Mann's Chinese Theatre is the spot for numerous
movie premieres and of course, the Forecourt of the Stars which features the hand and footprints of celebrities.
The Silent Movie Theatre was opened in 1942 by John Hampton and reopened in 1999 by Charlie Lustman after a shooting scandal had closed it for two years.
