A Tribute to Taxi Driver

Travis Bickle is a lonely and angry man who does not possess the social skills necessary for normal human interaction. In his isolation he can only obsess about the decay and decadence he sees florishing around him every night as he drives his taxi cab through the streets of New York city. He waits and wishes for a rain that will wash the scum off the streets. But until that day arrives he focuses all his attention on a terrible plan of action that has begun to form in his rapidly fracturing psyche. A plan that involves the violent rescue of teen prostitute Iris (amazingly portrayed by a young Jodie Foster) from the clutches of her cynical pimp. It is with this dark and thought provoking story that director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro created one of the best movies of the seventies. So to answer the obvious question, he's definitely talking to us and we're all ears in our Tribute to Taxi Driver.
