A Cast of Characters - Palpatine 
He held many positions ... Senator, Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, Emperor of the Galactic Empire and Dark Lord of the Sith. Unfortunately, he used none of them for good. His lust for ultimate power left much murder and disaster in its wake.
As he explains to Anakin ... all who gain power are afraid to lose it. And truer words were never spoken.
His spectre loomed large in every episode, although he didn't actually appear in the fourth movie. We give you Emperor Palpatine.
