A Tribute to An American in Paris

The centerpiece of this classic Gene Kelly musical is a 17 minute fantasy ballet sequence – the longest dance number ever filmed for a Hollywood musical. But words cannot do justice to the grace and beauty that Leslie Caron and Gene Kelly display with such seeming ease as they glide through the exquisite sets that depict paintings by famous French artists. Frankly, we agree with Mr. Kelly, An American in Paris S'Wonderful.

A Tribute to Gene Kelly
He had many wonderful dance partners (even the cartoon Jerry the Mouse) but his greatest numbers often featured him alone with a song and an extraordinary dance routine. We salute all of his musical performances in our Tribute to Gene Kelly.
