Russell Crowe - a heartbreaker, maybe, but an onscreen powerhouse, most definitely! He fought his way into our hearts in Ridley Scott's Gladiator, garnishing a Best Actor Oscar along the way. But we'll never forget his performances as Bud in L.A. Confidential, Jeffrey Wigand in The Insider and John Nash in A Beautiful Mind. Russell Crowe is a cop investigating a brutal murder of an entire family in Tenderness. It was supposed to be released in 2008, but is not on the schedule as of now. We'll let you know when we learn more.
He's also back working with director Ridley Scott in a movie set in Iraq called Body of Lies based on the book Body of Lies. This one also stars Leonardo DiCaprio - coming in October, here's the trailer:
And he's just joined the cast of State of Play, a thriller also starring Ben Affleck and based on a popular BBC mini-series that is currently schedule for release in Spring of 2009.
