A Tribute to John Ford

He started directing movies before they had sound. His name became synonymous with the classic Hollywood western. He directed over 100 feature films. Those are the facts but they don't begin to tell the full story of his career. His filmography lists one all time classic film after another. In one year alone he directed Drums Along the Mohawk, Young Mr. Lincoln and Stagecoach. It is fitting that he was the very first recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award. We, also, would like to honor his lifetime of movie making with a Destination Hollywood Tribute to John Ford.
