A Tribute to Anthony Hopkins

What's our favorite Anthony Hopkins performance? (No, it's not THAT one!) With nearly 90 (and still counting) to choose from it's a more difficult decision than you think. But since (like Anthony Hopkins) we are not the kind of people to shirk from a challenge here is our unconventional top five: Prince Richard in The Lion in the Winter, Elliot Hoover in Audrey Rose, Frank Doel in 84 Charing Cross Road, Lieutenant William Bligh in The Bounty and Richard Nixon in Nixon. Celebrate these spectacular acting turns (as well as the one that includes a generous helping of fava beans and chianti) in our Tribute to Anthony Hopkins.

New on DVD

Anthony Hopkins's most recent movie, Beowulf , is now available on DVD.

Coming Soon

This is Anthony Hopkins being attacked by The Wolfman (Benicio Del Toro) in the upcoming remake of the horror classic. It's due out April 2009.

What started out as another Merchant Ivory/Anthony Hopkins movie (The City of Your Final Destination) is mired in a legal mess. First Anthony Hopkins sued saying he had not been paid and now an investor in the movie has sued the company holding up the release date. The movie is based on a book about a student who travels to South America to get permission to write a biography about a famed author.

A Tribute to Meet Joe Black

What some people call slow, other's call romantic. It's a tomayto – tomahto thing. All we know is that you can't really go wrong with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. You'll see what we mean in our Tribute to Meet Joe Black.

A Tribute to The Grinch

He's a mean one Mr. Grinch. We'll show you why in our colorful Tribute to How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
